Privacy Notice

This notice explains what personal data Declutter AI collects, why, and your choices. It is written to align with the Nigeria Data Protection Act. Declutter is the data controller for the marketplace and the partner storefronts hosted on it.

1. What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address and phone number.
• Order details: the items you buy or sell, your delivery or pickup address, and messages you send through the platform.
• Payment details: handled by our payment partner. We receive confirmation of payment and a reference, not your full card details.
• Payout details (sellers): bank account name, number and bank, used to pay you.
• Usage data: basic device and log data needed to run and secure the service.

2. Why we use it

• To create your account and let you buy and sell.
• To process orders, arrange inspection and delivery, and pay sellers.
• To match photo searches and alerts to listings.
• To prevent fraud and keep the platform safe.
• To respond to you and, where you have agreed, to send updates.

3. Who we share it with

We share only what each partner needs to do its job:

• Our payment processor, to take payments and pay sellers.
• Our logistics partner and the courier, to deliver an item to your address.
• The other party to a trade: a buyer sees a seller’s contact for collection, and vice versa.
• Our hosting and image-storage providers, which process data on our behalf.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. How long we keep it

We keep account and transaction data for as long as your account is active and as long afterwards as we need to meet legal, tax and dispute-resolution obligations, then we delete or anonymise it.

5. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to object to certain uses. Email hello@getdeclutter.com and we will respond within the time the law allows. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

6. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls and other measures. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your own login safe and tell us at once if you suspect a problem.

7. Changes

We may update this notice. Material changes will be posted here with a new date.
