Buying on Declutter AI
1. Find an item
Browse the marketplace or filter listings by category, price, condition and city. If you have a picture of what you want, search by photo. You can save a photo search and receive an alert when a similar listing becomes available.
2. Review the listing
Check the seller’s photos, description, location, condition and price. Declutter AI evaluates listing prices against comparable market information and may mark an item as a good deal. That guidance helps with comparison, but buyers should still read every condition note and ask questions before paying.
3. Choose the available checkout flow
The listing’s seller determines which of these clearly labelled flows applies:
- Service fee online, item balance at collection. Pay the Declutter service fee, receive the collection details and inspect the item before paying the seller directly.
- Full payment held through inspection. Pay online and Declutter holds the item funds until you confirm the item or the stated inspection window ends.
4. Arrange pickup, delivery or inspection
Pickup is arranged with the seller. Where delivery is enabled, checkout obtains live courier options for the buyer’s address. Some sellers also allow a paid inspection. Availability and cost are shown before payment rather than assumed for every listing.
5. Confirm the item
Compare the item with its listing as soon as you receive or collect it. If it is materially different, wrong or damaged, follow the buyer protection steps promptly and do not confirm acceptance while an eligible issue is unresolved.
Selling on Declutter AI
1. Create an accurate listing
Add clear photos, the real condition, a useful description, location and asking price. Mention known faults and included accessories. Accurate details reduce disputes and help serious buyers decide faster.
2. Submit it for review
New listings remain in draft while they are reviewed. Approved listings become visible in the marketplace and can be matched against saved searches.
3. Complete the handoff
Follow the payment flow shown for the order, keep communication clear and make the item available for the agreed pickup, delivery or inspection. When Declutter holds the item funds, eligible seller proceeds are released after the transaction reaches the required confirmation stage.
